Halsway Manor Young Musicians - ‘Music-making residential’ Date: 28/07/2010 Halsway Manor Young Musicians - ‘Music-making residential' at Halsway Manor, Somerset followed by..... Sidmouth Folkweek ‘Showcase Concerts!’
28th-31st July 2010
A chance for young musicians aged 14-18 to learn about traditional music, hone their playing and composing skills and meet with like-minded young people to forge musical friendships.
The 4-day course will be lead by Will Lang, percussion tutor for Newcastle University’s BMus in Folk and Traditional music. He will be bringing students, past and present, from the course to tutor and share skills in playing, performing, composition, dance and singing.
On the final day Halsway Manor Young Musicians, with parents and tutors, will perform their newly created pieces in showcase events at Sidmouth Folkweek.
