Community Choirs

Stanchester Quire is a community initiative we set up in Somerset in 1996. At any one time it has in excess of 50 members. There is no audition and there is no need to be able to read music. The Quire sings songs and carols from the South West of England and has performed as far away as Ludlow and the Pays Basque region of France.

The Quire meet on Tuesday evenings at All Saints School, Montacute. 2009 practice will begin on February 3rd. Visit the Stanchester Quire's website www.stanchesterquire.co.uk

We give advice and guidance on setting up a community choir, and offer training to new choir leaders.
